At the 72nd World congress of the International Association of Skal International, which was held in Turk (Finland), from 18th to 22nd of September, an ecotourism program of our Center – ECOTOURISM ON TRAMUNTANA (Island of Cres, Croatia) AS A METHOD OF PROTECTION OF NATURAL AND CULTURAL-HISTORICAL HERITAGE – was chosen as the best in the world in the sustainable tourism development. It was the first prize among the projects of sustainable development in the tourism for 2011, in the category of “General Countryside”, in a strong competition with many national parks and international touristic agencies. This extraordinary acknowledgment is a great honor for us and encouragement that, despite all the obstacles, we remain persistent on our path.

Greetings from Turku & Congratulations for the Job awesomely well done ! I fell in love with the magic of the forests & laid back atmosphere when I visited in Beli, Tramuntana in spring 2010. Wish I have a chance to visit there soon again !
