Our basic activity is directed towards to include the wider public in the active protection of nature because it is the only method to bring us long lasting results.
Therefore we have opened an Interpretation Centre inside and around the Eco-centre’s building, with these permanent exhibitions set up:
- ‘Biological Diversity of the Cres-Lošinj Archipelago’
- ‘The story of the Eurasian Griffon’
- ‘Ethnological heritage of Tramuntana’
Volunteers from Croatia and the whole world help us in interpreting the exhibitions and educating the visitors about the protection of natural and cultural-historical heritage.
The recovery Sanctuary for Eurasian Griffons in the yard of the Eco-centre’s building, the seven educative eco-trails, labyrinths and the ancient forest of Tramuntana, are indispensable parts of our programme and complement the Interpretation Centre.
